We will provide:

- Range of 30-40 hours per week

- Paid Vacation of 2 Weeks each year or 4% of salary

- Pay at $18 - $22 per hour

Duties

• Supervise full time and part time staff in food preparation.
• Instruct the kitchen helpers in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
• Practice inventory control standards, maintain inventory of food ingredients and supplies and requisition as required. Maintaining accurate records in regards to food preparation - shelf life, temperatures, etc.
• Establish work schedules and coordinate staff activities, complete and post staff schedules.
• Communicate changes to staff in regards to food preparations, & standards, etc. Be a leader in demonstrating behaviors consistent with Pure Kitchen Kanata's Principles.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Ensuring labour and production plans are adjusted as per the requirement to minimize the wastage.
• Assist in hiring and training new team members.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of the work area, utensils and cooking equipment’s that meet the Restaurant standards.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety Program.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.

Requirements

• Minimum high school completion
• Minimum one month of experience in similar role.
• Ability to legally work in Canada.
