Job Description

One (1) permanent full-time position of Mechanical Engineering Technologist (NOC 22301) is available at ABI Ltd. located at 61 Performance Dr, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 0J5.

Main Duties to be completed as per the lead statement of NOC 22301:

• Prepare and interpret conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for machines and components, (list out 2-3 services/machineries)
• Prepare project schedules and reports.
• Ensure designs and drawings to validate dimensions, fit, tolerances, quantities, etc. while ensuring compliance with standard practices.
• Conduct tests and analyses of machines, components and materials to determine their performance, strength, response to stress and other characteristics.
• Assist in designing moulds, tools, dies, fixtures for the manufacturing process and inspect mechanical installations.
• Prepare & maintain documentations for each allotted project.
• Ensuring to resolve manufacturing malfunctions on time avoiding delays.

• Assist in/schedule jobs prior to their release to the floor.
• Be on the forefront of adaptation/implementation of Lean Manufacturing Initiatives.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment through sharing best practices and expertise.

• Share applicable technical knowledge to improve design & engineering projects and further the knowledge and understanding of mechanical design within the company.
• Prepare standards and schedules, supervise mechanical maintenance programs or operations of mechanical plants, and may sell and service mechanical equipment and systems.

Requirements:

Minimum One (1) year of work experience
Completion of College

Wage rate: $32.05/hour
Hours: 40 hrs/week
