Location: Mississauga, ON L5M 3S8

Salary: $22.50 per hour for 35 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment

Job Responsibilities:

• Organizing an array of details including food, drinks, activities, invitations, setup, seating, and decorations
• Will deliver and set up tents, chairs, tables, BBQs, Linens, dinnerware, food and beverage equipment, and so much more.
• Fixing broken items and machinery, and reporting any issues to the divisional managers
• Being creative - and having an eye for detail with event signage and displays
• Carry out equipment, tool and machinery repairs and basic servicing
• Will move furniture (within the venue or outside of venue)
• Fix curtain rails, including hanging or taking down curtains, tape down carpets and electrical leads.
• They will fix things, install things, and make repairs.
• Perform walk-through assessments.
• Load and unload tools and equipment from work vehicles

Eligibility Requirements:

• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and dexterity
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience of working as handyman or similar role.
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
