Responsibilities

Tasks

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
• Plan menus and determine the size of food portions.
• Estimate food requirements and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Inspect Kitchens and food service areas.
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.
• Oversee kitchen operations and inspect the kitchen and food service areas.
• Set up and oversee buffets.
• Set up, clean, and organize kitchen and work area.
• Hire and train kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
